Sorry for that comment on this post, I come off as defensive, In my defense i was only home from training and a bit ticked off.

So i am sorry if it come off as harsh.

I’ve had a couple days to think about it, and i think you should write what you want. Sometimes the tragic ending works, i have one book coming out with a tragic ending and it works but that’s fiction.

But as you said, In YA i think i myself and others need to re-examine the role of our character’s when it comes to this type of book. And the negative effect it will have on young minds.

Maybe have a positive spin at the end for younger readers.
